Jackson, 85, passed from this life at her residence on Monday morning, June 30, 2008.nbspBorn in North Adams, MA on November 28, 1922, she was the daughter of Antonio and Theresa Ciarddi Tassone.nbsp She had been a resident of Kerrville since 1976, coming here from Ft. Lewis, WA.nbspMrs. Jackson had worked for the KISD in the lunch program for 10 years.nbspShe was a communicant of Notre Dame Catholic Church.nbsp A longtime member of the Red Hat Ladies Society, she was also a member of the German Dance Club, a former square dancer and a charter member of the Kerrville Trailblazers.nbspOn November 23, 1956, she married Edwin A. Jackson, who said of Rita She never met a stranger.nbspMrs. Jackson was predeceased by her parents and 10 siblings.nbspShe is survived by her husband of 51 years, Edwin A. Jackson of Kerrville a daughter, Cynthia Gensman and her husband, Keith, of Kerrville 2 sons, Michael George Jackson, USN and his wife, Melissa, stationed in Kingsland, GA, and Robert John Jackson, USN, and his wife, Stephanie, stationed in Indian Head, MD 5 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren a brother, John Tassone of North Adams, MA a sister, Theresa Morris of North Adams, MA and many nieces and nephews.nbspThere is no visitation.nbspA Memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, Kerrville.nbspPlease omit floral arrangements.nbsp Monetary donations in her name may be made to Dietert Claims or the charity of ones choice. nbspnbsp
