Richards Folger, 75, lifelong resident of Kerrville, died Saturday, April 24, 2003, at his residence.Richards was of the fourth generation of a pioneer family who moved to Kerrville in 1878. His GreatGrandfather was a surveyor who aided in establishing county lines of many new counties in the plains country to the west. Richards was born June 18, 1927 to John Tristram Folger and Catherine Richards Folger. He graduated from Tivy High School in 1947. He was a successful business owner in Kerrville and Dallas for all of his adult life. For many years he was the owner and operator of an amusement machine equipment business. He formerly was very active in civic improvements and activities, and received the Jaycees Key Man Award.
