Richard Taylor

Richard James Taylor, 83, passed from this life at a local hospital on Tuesday, October 9, 2012. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 20, 1929 to Robert S. Taylor and Rose Reccard Taylor.

As a young child his family relocated to Florida where he spent most of his childhood. Richard Married Betty Jean Black on July 26, 1959 in Mexico. He was happily married to his sweetheart, Betty, for 53 years. He and Betty began their lives together in Kerrville then moved to Port Aransas and then returning to Kerrville. Richard enjoyed spending time out on the water in Port Aransas, fishing with his family. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and baseball.

He was preceded in death by Jo Ann Taylor infant daughter and his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife Betty Black Taylor, sons, Gordon Taylor Jo Ann, Steven Taylor Gracie, Jonathan Taylor, grandchildren, Lezli, Morgan, Stephanie, Genevie, and his pet dog Precious.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 1:00PM, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, TX.
