Richard Russi

KERRVILLE- Richard Bruce Russi, 75, of Kerrville, Texas, passed from this Earthly life on September 27, 2015, at his residence in Kerrville.

God has taken Richard home where he will be united with his life long partner, Paula. Thank you, Lord, for Richard, as he was a shining example of a man that was devoted to his family and loyal to all of his many friends. Richard was the rock that his family, friends, and business associates could always depend upon.

Richard was born in San Antonio, Texas on July 18, 1940. He married the love of his life, Pauletta Yvonne, on October 2, 1959, and they shared all the joys and heartaches of raising three children during their rollercoaster journey. Richard was an accomplished businessman, developer, patent holder, novelist and gunsmith.

Richard is survived by his mother, Veda King Russi; brother, Walter Russi; son, Dwight Russi and wife Sylvia; daughter, Deborah Bronstein; daughter, Heather Owens and husband Jeffery; brother-in-law, John La Fleur; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; extended family, and many dear friends.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ave Maria Hospice for their faith based attendance to Richard's needs and comfort. And a special thanks to Deborah Bronstein and the team of outstanding care givers that made Richard's final time here on Earth all it could be.

A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2105 at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy. Kerrville, TX. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10AM on Friday, October 2, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church Kerrville, TX. Interment will follow at Hunt Japonica Cemetery Hunt, TX.
