Richard Guthrie

SAN ANTONIO - Richard Allan Guthrie, 75, of Kerrville, passed from this life on Monday, February 23, 2015, in San Antonio at a local hospital. Richard was born in Smithville, Oklahoma on July 23, 1946 to Dent Grant Guthrie and Mildred Edith Dodson.

Richard served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force and completed his tour of duty overseas as a military police officer. On May 29, 1968 Richard married the love of his life, Anne Bryant in Dallas, Texas on Lover's Lane. Richard was a man of many trades. Richard was a very loving and comforting man who loved to feed deer instead of hunting them. His biggest goal in life was to care and take care of his wife.

He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Laura.

Survivors include his wife, Anne B. Guthrie; brother, Carl Guthrie and son, Roger Guthrie.

A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
