Services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Lunns Colonial Chapel with Dr. Mike Roberson, pastor of Lamar Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at 4:00 PM Thursday at the Delhi Cemetery, Delhi, OK, under the direction of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home.

Rick was born May 12, 1958, in Arcata, CA to Norbert and Alice Rocha Borges. Though he spent his childhood in California, he considered himself a native Texan living in Texas for 31 years. Rick could accomplish anything he set his mind to do and lived to help others.

Survivors include his wife Karen Freeman Borges, his son Richard Borges Jr. and his wife Rosana of the U.S.S. John McCain currently stationed in Japan, a step son, Drey Taylor and his wife Stephanie of Trenton, TX, his sister Noreen Espinda and her husband Dave of Petaluma, CA, two brothers Randy Borges and his wife Tammy of Roseville, CA, and Tom Borges of Napa, CA, and mother Alice Cottam and her husband Bob of St. George, UT, brotherinlaw Derek Freeman of Wichita Falls, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening 7:008:00 PM for visitation.
