Ricardo Gonzales

KERRVILLE Richard A. Gonzales, 19, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on January 16, 2013 at Peterson Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Kerrville, TX at Sid Peterson Medical Center on July 2, 1993, he was the son of Trisha Lynn Gonzales and Ricardo Minjares.

Richard grew up in Kerrville, TX and attended Tivy High School. He spent his last two years attending and graduated from McKlatchy High School in Sacramento, CA. While attending school in Kerrville, he worked at Rio 10 Cinema Theater and H.E.B. He was participant in the ROTC program at Tivy, and was very proud to wear the uniform. Richard was making preparations to enlist in the United Stated Navy with high hopes of becoming a Navy Seal.

After Richard left this earthly home, a dear friend posted on Facebook a message that described Richard exactly as he was known. He was such a fine young man with a huge heart. Its hard to accept this tragedy, and its hard to understand. I used to visit with him at H.E.B. and he was always so positive and very respectable, and a warm and kind person. He will be sorely missed in a world where the youth dont always have the qualities that Richard had. Rest in Peace Richard, rest in peace. A Friend

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Antonio, Jr. and Sylvia Gonzales greatgrandfathers, Antonio Gonzales, Sr. and Tomas Arredondo, Sr.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his parents, Trisha Lynn Gonzales and husband Albert Martinez father, Ricardo Minjares, Jr brother, Isaac Martinez sister, Abigial Martinez aunt and uncle, Dedra and Sergio Valdez greatgrandmothers, Martha Arredondo and Lydia V. Gonzales grandfather, Joe Polendo many other family members from the Arredondo and Gonzales families along with a host of many other friends that will miss him greatly.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6 PM on Sunday, January 20, 2013 with visitation following at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Notre Dame Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Beloved family members will serve as pallbearers.
