Kerrville ndashRebecca Becky Claire Brocious, at the age of 85, went to be with the Lord on Monday evening, September 29, 2008 at Peterson Regional Medical Center.nbspShe was born on January 16, 1923 in Climax, PA to Leonard Austin Smeltzer and Pearl May Callen Smeltzer.nbspBecky married Richard Leroy Brocious on August 5, 1941 in Cherry Tree, PA and on August 5, 2006 they renewed their wedding vows after 65 years of marriage.nbspBecky was a homemaker and worked with the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.nbsp She also worked as a merchandise buyer for a department store.nbsp She loved knitting, crocheting, craft work, watching tv and football.nbsp She and her husband were RV travelers for 27 years with Good Sam Club.nbspBecky and Dick relocated from VA to Kerrville in 1985.nbspShe is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dick Brocious of Kerrville a son, Jack Brocious of Grapevine, TX a daughter, Janice Brocious Renken and her husband, Tommy, of Arlington, TX a brother, Harold Smeltzer of Rimersburg, PA a sister, Doris Gayla of Wheeling, WV a niece, Gloria Jean Whitmore and her husband, Gerald, a nephew, Don Gayla and his wife, Susie, and many other family members and friends who love her and will miss her.nbspation will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 from 67PM.nbspFuneral service will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home, Kerrville, on Thursday, October 2, 2008 at 10:00AM.nbsp Interment will be in the family lot in Warsaw Cemetery, Brookville, PA, on Saturday, October 4, 2008.nbspIn lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that monetary donations in Beckyrsquos name be made to St. Paulrsquos United Methodist Church, Kerrville, TX.nbspnbsp
