Raymond Cornell McCloud, 93, of Kerrville Texas left this earth for his Heavenly home on June
19, 2022.
Raymond was born September 13,1928 in Detroit Michigan to Robert B. and Sarah Ann
McCloud. Raymond was raised in Louisville Kentucky with three sisters and five brothers.
Louisville always had a special place in his heart. Louisville is the place where he met his bride
Rosetta, on July 25, 1964 the two were married and have been happily married for 57 years.
Raymond devoted his life to his wife and 8 children he worked hard for them. He retired from
Pillsbury after 41 years. He was a true disciple of Jesus, he devoted his life to teaching people
about Jesus and prayed daily for all his family and friends. Ray had many talents one being an
amazing guitar player. He loved playing guitar in church and in the radio stations. If he was not
with his family or playing guitar, you could find him on the golf course where he always had the
lowest score on the card.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents Robert B. and Sarah Ann McCloud, siblings; Ted
McCloud, Almeita Farmer, Geraldine Clifford, Verna Farris, Robert McCloud, Bucky McCloud,
Jimbo McCloud, children; David Lee McCloud, Linda Marie Burgin and Mark Thomas Green.
Raymond leaves behind his lovely wife Rosetta McCloud. 6 children Deanna (Robert) Gumbert,
Raymond Jr. (Carol) McCloud , Vickie (Robert) Love, Ginger Green, Mary McClure, Mark
Anthony (Rhonda) McCloud and Carol Ann Bain. He also leaves behind twenty-five grandkids,
fifty-four great grandkids, and twenty-four great great grandkids all to carry on his legacy.
Pallbearers include Chuckie Burgin, John Ray Burgin, Nick Bain, Lonnie Goodman, Jonathan Traylor, Toby McCloud, Josh Green, Nathan Green, Dustin Goodman and Bryar Kappers.
Viewing service will be held at Kerrville funeral home on Wednesday June 22 from 3-7pm. A
funeral service honoring the life of Raymond will be held Thursday June 23 at 4pm at Kerrville
Funeral home. A second funeral service will be held in Louisville Kentucky. Viewing services will
be held Monday June 27 from 3-8pm at Arch L. Heady at Rest Haven Memorial Park 4400
Bardstown Road. Funeral service with burial to follow will be held Tuesday June 28 at 10am at
Arch L. Heady at Rest Haven Memorial Park 4400 Bardstown Road.
