Raymond Blake Evans

Raymond Blake Evans, age 87, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, peacefully in his sleep in Kerrville, Texas, with his family by his side. Blake, as everyone knew him, was born in Reagan, Texas, on November 22, 1935, to Raymond Quincy Evans and Willa Pamplin Evans. Both parents were descendants of early pioneers in Falls and Limestone counties. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1953 and immediately afterwards he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany the majority of that time. Afterwards he returned to Texas where he met his loving wife of 61 years, Martha Lee Trampota. They were married shortly thereafter on October 21, 1961. They lived a wonderful life in Limestone County, Texas, on their small acreage where he enjoyed fishing for bass in his pond, taking long walks down rural county roads with his dog Penny and tending to his bees.

 He is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Evans; twin sisters, Bonnie Corothers and Betty Ramey; brothers, Carl Evans and James Evans.

 Blake is survived by his loving wife, Martha Evans; son, Ray Evans; 4 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

 No funeral services are planned at this time. Blake will be placed in his plot at Waite Cemetery in Reagan, Texas.
