Mountain Home Raymond R. Chipman, 81, of Mountain Home, TX entered into rest January 29, 2004 at a hospital in Kerrville. Mr. Chipman was born June 22, 1922 to Edward and Mary Chipman in Rock Springs, TX. He married Ellen Louis Butler on July 4, 1945. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years until retirement. He served in WWII in the European Theater, and was involved in Strategic Air Command which included being one of the first to work as a Boom Operator on a KC97 plane which fueled the B52 bomber in midair. After retiring from the Air Force he moved back to Ingram where he had grown up and went into the welding business with his dad. He was an inventor and could fix anything. He loved to hunt and fish in the Hill Country. He was a long time active member of the First Baptist Church in Ingram.He is survived by his wife Ellen Chipman, 5 Children, Barbara Pagel, Raymond Chipman, Jr., Bobby W. Chipman, Brenda Misiewiez, and Debra Eason, 18 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, and 3 GreatGreat Grandchildren.
