Born in Houston, TX on August 29, 1949, he moved to Kerrville in 1990.

He was predeceased by his father, William F. quotBillquot Smith.

Those left to cherish and honor his memory are his daughter and soninlaw, Stephanie and Christian Trojanowsky and two grandsons, Lane and Kyle his mother and stepfather, Jeanne Black Smith Michalk and Rudolph Michalk his sister and brotherinlaw, Rebecca and Brent Bike and his niece, Callie Rebecca Bike.

A Celebration of his life will be held in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Houston, 5300 Main Street, Houston, TX 77004 on July 14th at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Heston officiating.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the family asks that monetary donations in his name be made to M.D. Anderson Cancer Development Office at 1515 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Plaza on the River, the staff and volunteers of Peterson Hospice and the staff, doctors and caregivers of Peterson Regional Medical Center for the love, care and support given to Randy.
