Ralph Trotter

KERRVILLE - Mr. Ralph G. Trotter passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2015 surrounded by his "posse" - his beloved wife, three daughters, and his dog Abby. Ralph was born February 25, 1927 in Dawson, MN, the youngest of four children.

He graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point, NY) in 1948. His 30-year career as a Chief Engineer with Lykes Brothers Steamship Company allowed him to travel the world many times.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Ellen M. Trotter; daughters, Laura Naman and husband Robert of Kerrville, Cathy Lovett and husband Phil Reina of Houston, and Kelly Willcox and husband Fred of Houston. He is also survived by his brother, Lane F. (Mac) Trotter of Carmel, CA; granddaughters, Bonnie Lovett and husband Dustin Courtney of Spring, Melanie Naman of Los Angeles, CA, Sarah Sandling and husband Zac of Austin; great-grandchildren, Julian and Adalyn Sandling.

Ralph was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed. In accordance with Ralph's wishes, no services will be held.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial donations may be made to the organization or charity of one's choice.
