Paris Ira Pruett, age 94, of San Antonio, Texas passed away Friday, January 10, 2003 at the Beacon House care home in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Sandia, Texas March 1, 1903 to John Carroll Pruett and Elizabeth Ward Pruett. He was one of nine brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Esther Savage Pruett and by a second wife of 7 years, Lucille Beard Pruett. During World War II, P.I. was a civil servant in the Army Air Force Supply Dopot in Deming, New Mexico. He had a public accounting practice in Corpus Christi, Texas for 35 years. He served as an elder at Norton Street Chruch of Christ in Corpus Christi for 24 years. He and Ester retired to Kerrville, Texas in 1982. In 1994, with advancing age, P.I. moved to San Antonio to be closer to John and Joy Pruett. He lived the last four years of his life at The Beacon House where he was blessed by the loving attention of dedicated care takers, and where he came to think that the other residents were his won brothers and sisters.He is survived by his son, John and his wife Joy of San Antonio, three grandchildren, Alice Pruett of San Antonio, Lynette Wilson and husband Eric of Abilene, Texas and Greg Pruett and wife Rebecca of Guinea, West Africa as well as seven greatgrandchildren.
