Philothea Wheeler

Fredericksburg Philothea E. Wheeler, 78, of Fredericksburg, passed away from this life on Friday January 15, 2010 at her residence.

Born in Fort Worth, TX on April 16, 1931, she was the daughter of Philotheos K. and Elizabeth Gibbs Ferney. She had lived in Fredericksburg, since August of 1996 coming from Estes Park, CO and also lived in Houston before that.

She attended Texas Christian University she was a charter member of Vereins Quilt Guild of Fredericksburg and formerly a member of the Hill Country Quilt Guild of Kerrville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband Jim Wheeler of Fredericksburg, TX sons Phillip and wife Patricia Sehnert of Lewisville, TX and Kurt and wife Rosanne Sehnert of Sulpher Springs, TX: a daughter Elizabeth Rex of Paradise, CA and 4 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Sunday January 24, 2010 at 2pm at St. Peters Episcopal Church in Kerrville, TX with Father Stockton Williams officiating.

The family suggests that donations in her name be made to the charity of your choice.
