Philip ODoneghue Nolan III passed away on January 4, 2007. He was born in San Antonio on April 13, 1934.He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia, children Philip and his wife Susan, of McLean, VA, Scott and his wife Jeanette, of Volcano, CA, Mark and his wife Sandra and Kelly Nolan Hidalgo all of San Antonio, TX, sisters Sally Ann Wynd of Spokane, WA, Mary Williams of San Antonio, TX and Maudie Pallan of Spring, TX, and grandchildren Brandon, Colton, Shaughan, Tori, Mark II, Tyler, Macy, Megan, Jeffrey, Matthew and Andrew. Phil was involved with the Alamo Area Council of Boy Scouts for many years and all 3 of his sons are Eagle Scouts. Phil was awarded the Silver Beaver award, and the District Award of Merit. He was a Vigil Member of the Order of the Arrow, and also served as Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 358. He also made 2 treks to Philmont that he loved to recount. Most recently Phil was involved in the mentoring program at Ingram Elementary School in Ingram, TX. He moved to the family land in Mountain Home, TX in 2003 and was very happy to have realized his dream of retiring in the quiet peace of the Hill Country. Phil was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, mentor and friend and will be missed greatly by the many who loved him.Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11 AM at the Church of the Hills in Ingram, TX.Memorial donations can be made to Ingram Elementary Mentoring Program, co Nancy Randle,510 College Street,Ingram,Tx 78025
