San Antonio Pauline J. Hogan passed peacefully into the hands of God on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Morningside Manor.
She was born in Gainesville, Texas and married Benny N. Hogan in 1941. They lived in Houston for many years before retiring to Kerrville, Texas. Prior to moving to Kerrville she and Ben spent several years in London, England where she studied art and traveled the continent of Europe visiting art museums.
Pauline will be remembered as a charming, quiet, lovely, gracious lady and an accomplished artist known as quotPaulette.quot She taught Art Therapy at Rosewood Hospital in Houston and joyfully gave the spirit of good will by donating time to share and teach her artistic skills to the handicapped and paralyzed patients at Kerrvilles VA hospital. She was an honorary life member of the Kerrville Art Club and enjoyed her involvement in the Hill Country Arts Foundation where she conducted many classes and workshops on painting the beautiful Texas hill country.
Pauline was a member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Kerrville where she served as a communion steward. She reached out to her loved ones and friends with the written word, writing many letters of encouragement to those in need. Pauline was a faithful listener and supporter of KHCB Christian radio in Houston and inspired their ministry to bring their broadcast to Kerrville. She was KHCBs quotearsquot for Kerrville 88.7 FM and reported whenever there was a signal problem.
Pauline is preceded in death by her husband Benny N. Hogan.
She is survived in life by her son, Ronald Hogan of California, daughter Patricia Ulmer and husband Bart of San Antonio daughter Lynn Bodenhamer and husband Ken of Houston four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A funeral service celebrating Paulines life will be Saturday, May 9 beginning at 10AM at Kerrville Funeral Home with Rev. Lynne Lockett officiating. Private interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
