Paula Renee Kilgore

Paula Renee Kilgore-Admire, 61, of McAllen, passed from this life on December 13, 2023 at McAllen Heart Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, December 22, 2023 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating.  Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at 12 noon prior to services.

Paula was born March 20, 1962 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Marion Jerry and Shirley Mae (Duncan) Kilgore.  Paula grew up and attended primary school in Bixby and Tulsa.  Paula moved with her parents to McAllen where she graduated from McAllen High School in 1980.  She earned her LVN and RN license from Pan Am University.  In her career, Paula was a dedicated healthcare provider as a registered nurse, certified bariatric nurse, developer and director of Rio Grande Regional Hospital Bariatric Center of Excellence and South Texas Health System Bariatric Center of Excellence.  December 2, 2000, she married Terry Admire and on August 31, 2003 was blessed with a daughter, Cora Gay Admire; and later with 2 grandsons and 5 granddaughters.

Paula is preceded in death by her father, Jerry Kilgore; mother, Shirley Calhoun, and father-in-law, Coral Admire.

Those left to honor her memory include her brother, John Kilgore and wife Jennifer; nephew, John Cody Kilgore; husband, Terry Admire; daughter, Cora Gay Admire; step-sons, Lewis, Christopher and Travis Admire; daughters-in-law, Nora, Christina and Rhianne; grandsons, Taylor and Vincent; granddaughters, Kaylee, Madison, Luci, Lexi, and Rhonda.
