Paula Kelly

KERRVILLE Paula Tracy Kelly, 93, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Friday, February 7, 2014 at a local care center. Born May 21, 1920 in Wilburton, Latimer County, Oklahoma, she was raised by her grandparents, Ida and Burke Parks.

Paula is preceded in death by one brother, Ralph husbands, Ira Evans, Billy Richard Tracy, and John Thomas Kelly parents, Gertrude and Owen Goss son, Richard Paul Tracy.

Paula was a past member of the VFW, MOCA and American Legion. She was also a past member of Women Division Chamber of Commerce and the Order of the Eastern Star. She owned and lived at Caroline Apartments in Kerrville for thirty years until they burned in 2002. Paula was also a member of the First United Methodist Church for many years, but in later years she joined the Southern Oaks Baptist Church to be with her boys.

Her son Richard Paul died in 2010, since then Paula became very ill. In 1975 she flew to Las Vegas and married Ronald Simetz, aka Allen Lew. They had power of attorney of a little girl, Darla, whom they call Bric. She married and has three boys. Darla has been a true daughter to Paula, and has done everything for her since she has been ill. After years of being apart, Ronald and Paula realized they still loved each other and have had a great loving relationship. His daughter Karen is very close, so Paula has family close with Darla Bric and her grandson, Richard Joe Tracy, along with the love and care of Ronald.

Graveside Services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, Texas 78028 with Rev. Joe Taylor officiating.
