Paul H. Summers, 81, of Kerrville, Texas entered into rest on February 23, 2006 at his home. Mr. Summers was born January 31, 1925 in Noble County, Oklahoma. He grew up in Monahans, Texas and was a graduate of Monahans High School, where he was active in sports. During World War II he served his country as a pilot flying P51 Mustangs, and as a flight school instructor. He married Jean Audet Summers on June 30, 1960 in Corpus Christi, where they resided before moving to Houston. They retired to Kerrville, Texas, where they enjoyed golfing and many friendships. Jean preceded him in death on March 24, 1998. He was a graduate of the University of Texas, and spent his career as a geologist in the oil and gas industry. He was a member of the Geologist Association and the American Legion. He is survived by son, David Summers and his wife, Diane, of Houston his daughter, Laura Mackey of Austin three stepdaughters, Barbara Roberts and husband J.D. of Galveston, Carol Phillips of Lewiston, Idaho, Linda Kay Rucker of Texarkana, and numerous grandchildren, including his namesake, Paul R. Summers. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel. Internment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. ation will be 57:00 p.m. at Kerrville Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 28, 2006.
