Paul Canto

Paul E., Canto, 92, of Wimberley, Texas, formerly of Kerrville, passed away February 23, 2006 at care facility in Wimberley.Mr. Canto was born November 25, 1913 in Havana, Cuba to Paulino Canto Villanueva and Altagracia Martinez Perdomo. He served his country as a Merchant Marine during World War II. He married Rilda T. Thomas on October 10, 1954 in Houston, Texas. She preceded him in death on November 15, 1999. Mr. Canto moved to Kerrville in the 1960s, having previously lived in Houston where he owned the largest private home construction contracting business in the city. He is survived by a brother, Gilberto Canto numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives. Graveside services will be 11:00AM, Saturday, February 24, 2006 at Glen Rest Cemetery. ation will be 57:00 pm., Friday at Kerrville Funeral Home.
