Patricia Whitworth

Kerrville Patricia Mills Whitworth, 84, of Kerrville, passed from this life to be with her Lord on June 27, 2011 at her home.

Born on January 28, 1927, she was the daughter of John Campbell and Irma Mills.

At the age of 16, she attended the University of Texas, graduating in 1947 and received her Masters at Sam Houston in Huntsville, TX.

On April 17, 1948, she married M.A. Whitworth of Luling, TX, a union that would last 63 years.

She was an educator and counselor, teaching 3rd grade in the Spring Branch ISD in Houston. In 1982, she and her husband retired to Kerr County.

She is predeceased by her parents.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her husband, M.A. Whitworth her children, Diane Guthrie and her husband, Jim, of Beaumont, TX, and John Whitworth and his wife, Terrie, of Kerrville 4 grandchildren, John Whitworth, Jr, of Katy, TX, Trisha Whitworth of NY, Hillary Wilson of Colorado and Allison Jenkins of Sugarland, TX 4 great grandchildren, Andrew and Allison Whitworth and Isabelle and Skye Wilson and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Pearsall on Friday, July 1, 2011 from 1011AM.

A celebration of her life will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Pearsall at 11AM on Friday, July 1, 2011. Committal service will follow at Pearsall Cemetery.
