Patricia "Pat" M. Thomas

Patricia Merle (Pat) Thomas, passed away at Hilltop Village Nursing Home on Thursday, August, 22, 2024, in Kerrville, Texas at the age of 78. Pat was born on April 30, 1946, in Atoka, Oklahoma to loving parents, Chester and Sallie Grogan. 

Pat spent many enjoyable years being a stay-at-home mom to her children. She later went on to spend the next 20 years working for Texas Tech Health Sciences.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Sallie Grogan; her first husband, Francis Dean Slack; infant son, Francis Dean Slack, Jr.; second husband, Warren Thomas; and brother, Leroy Grogan.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Deliah (Hugh) Murphy, and Lauri (Eddie) Garcia; grandchildren, Clint Murphy, Mindy (Thorne) Berg, and Matthew (Julie) Garcia; siblings, Virginia Oliver, Leona Madrigal, Edith Elless, Glenda Bates along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Pat was also blessed to know her three great-grandchildren; Marshall Berg, Marley Berg, and Miley Berg.

A memorial service will be held at First Christian Church in Center Point, Texas at 8:30AM on Sunday, August 25, 2024, with Pastor Philip Walton officiating. Her cremains will be interred in the Comfort Cemetery at a later date.
