Oscar Kimmey

Oscar "Pete" Hughes Kimmey, Jr., 75, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at his residence in Kerrville, TX. Pete was born to Oscar Hughes Kimmey, Sr. and Allie Evelyn (Campbell) Kimmey on November 12, 1939 in Robstown, TX.

Pete enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on August 1, 1958 in Houston, TX. He served his country for 4 years as an active duty Marine and another two years in the reserves. Pete worked at Bayer Chemical Company and retired after 30 years of service. He was a Master Mason and a member in good standing of the Pasadena Masonic Lodge.

He is preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Sandra McIntyre Kimmey.

Those who are left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Judy Raborn Kimmey; children, Kenneth Kimmey and wife, Rachael and Laurie Johnson and husband, Scott; step-son, Bret Tomlinson and wife, Jamie; grandchildren, Bryant Kimmey and wife, Samatha, Kyle Kimmey and wife, Crystal, Anna Kimmey, Jessica Kimmey, Haley Tomlinson, Reid Tomlinson and Grace Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Preston, Jackson, Brayden, Maylee and Kenslea Kimmey, along with a host of nieces and nephews and many friends who will All miss him dearly.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Hill Country Youth Ranch Aux. in Pete's memory.

Masonic Funeral Rites will be offered by the Kerrville Masonic Lodge #697, A.F. & A. M. starting at 2 PM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028. A time of visitation and reflection will follow.
