Olga McCommis

Olga T. McCommis, 78, of Georgetown, formerly of Kerrville, passed away peacefully on February 24, 2005 at a care facility in Georgetown.Ms. McCommis was born July 3, 1926 in Weldon, Texas to Harry and Lillie Tidwell. She was a long time resident of Houston where she was associated with NASA for 18 years before retiring in 1977. She was a real estate broker and a member of the Real Estate Board. She enjoyed blues, country and western music, gardening, and spending time with her friends and family. While living in Kerrville she was an active member of the Junction Highway Church of Christ. She had moved to Georgetown in July of 2001 to be close to her family.She is preceded in death by, three sisters, Thelma Treiber, Edith Treiber, and Helen Harrison two brothers, Roy T, Tidwell, and Harry Lee Tidwell, and the father of her child, Jimmy Walter McCommis. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Shaw and husband Todd of Georgetown grandson, Parker Lee Shaw and sister, Sue Zweig of Pflugerville. In her final days Ogie expressed much love for her friends and family, and how she held them dear to her heart.Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Monday, February 28, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Gatlin officiating.Memorials may be made to any local hospice organization.
