Olga Faye Hankins Cloudt, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at Sid Peterson Hospital in Kerrville. She was born May 22, 1926 to Jess L. and Olga Burney Hankins in Buffalo Gap, Texas. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 13, 2003 at the First Presbyterian Church of Rocksprings, Texas, with Reverend Will Bigott officiating. Mrs. Cloudt will lie in state at the church from noon Saturday until the service. Burial will follow in the Rocksprings Cemetery.Olga had many joys in life among them were reading, painting and cooking. She loved wildlife of all kinds. Olga took great pleasure in her goats. She named them and recognized each by their names. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a long time member of the Duplicate Bridge Club of Rocksprings as well as a member of the Eastern Star Lodge in Rocksprings. During the 1950s and 1960s she was a Republican Party Delicate. Mrs. Cloudt enjoyed the quiet, sedate life of country living. She married her childhood sweetheart, D.L. Cloudt with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage this past April 3rd. She was dedicated to her son chauffeuring him around the state supporting him in all of his events. Once her grandchildren started to arrive she increased her dedication to each of them as well. Above all, she was a lady.Mrs. Cloudt is survived by her husband D.L. Cloudt of Rocksprings son Denman Cloudt Jr. and wife Carolyn Collins Clout of Barksdale grandchildren Denman L. Cloudt, III, Harding Collins Cloudt, and Anna Camille Cloudt sister Jessie Lea Gilmer of El Paso as well as several nieces and nephews.
