Ola Wicker Beaty, 84, of Kerrville, TX went to be with her Lord and Savior January 20, 2004 at a local care facility. Mrs. Beaty was born September 24, 1919 to Ples and Clara Wicker in Jones Mill, Tennessee. She met Thomas Tommy Beaty while she was working as a bookkeeper at Jackson Supply Company in Jackson, Tennessee. They were married on March 7, 1944 in Corinth, Mississippi. They moved to Kerrville in 1949 where she worked as a seamstress doing alterations at Louises Dress Shop. She did a lot of sewing for the people of Kerrville and her once hobby turned into a profession. She loved to doll things up with lots of frills. She loved to travel, took many camping trips, and visited Alaska with her husband. Also, they attended numerous service reunions where she loved to visit with other sailors wives. She was an excellent cook, and especially enjoyed preparing the Thanksgiving meal for her family. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Kerrville, and taught Sunday school for most of her lifetime. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ancil Wicker, and halfbrother Charlie Wicker.She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas L. Tommy Beaty daughter, Gloria Janice Leek and husband Robert of Plano stepgrandchild, Wesley Leek two sisterinlaws, Sylvia Hubbs of Big Canoe, Georgia, and Charlotte Morgan of Dallas brotherinlaw, Charles Beaty of Duluth, Georgia nephew, Jason Beaty, niece, Cindy Waller, greatniece and nephew, Ashley and Justin Waller.
