Kerrville Born January 28, 1935, Norman George MacDonald went to be with the Lord on March 2, 2011, after a long battle with bone cancer. He is survived by his wife, Edna Arrendell MacDonald and their beloved dogs, Bootsie and Bandit.

quotMacquot, as he was known by most, had a very eventful life spending time in the Army and retiring from the Air Force.

Mac and Edna came to quotThe Hill Countryquot in October of 2000, and enjoyed the time they had here together. Mac went to work for the Sheriffs Department as a corrections officer until his health prevented him from returning to duty.

He was a life member of the VFW and a Post Commander of the American Legion in Houston, TX.

Those left to honor and cherish Macs memory are his wife, Edna his daughter, Pamela MacDonald of Kerrville son, Steven MacDonald of Sierra Vista, AZ son Scott MacDonald and his wife, Patricia and grandchildren, Mikaela, Haley, Ian and Liam, all of Littleton, CO daughter, Patricia MacDonald and grandchildren, Caitlyn and Samantha Larrabee all of Fredericksburg, VA and son Stuart MacDonald and his wife, Colleen and their children, Mason, Morgan, Marshall, Michael and Connor, all of Scottsdale, AZ. Mac was also thankful to have Ednas Aunt Ruth as part of his family, who also survives him.

A celebration of Macs life will start with visitation held on March 13, 2011 at Kerrville Funeral Home from 68PM.

The Celebration of Macs life will continue on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Kerrville Funeral Home at 10:30AM. Committal services with full military honors will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on March 14, 2011 at 1:45PM.

The family suggests that donations in his name be made to the American Cancer Society.
