Nellene Butler

Nellene Butler, 80, of Kerrville, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2005 at a local care facility.Mrs. Butler was born October 24, 1924 in Lexington, Texas to August and Ida Raschke. She married Ervin Ralph Butler on December 21, 1951 in Houston. They lived in Houston for over forty years where they were active members of Reid Memorial United Methodist Church, and Nellene was the church pianist. Nellene was active in church activities all of her life. When she and her husband moved to Kerrville 14 years ago they joined St. Pauls United Methodist Church, and ly became active members there as well. Nellene joined the Joyful Noise Chime Choir, the Sextet Choir, sang in the choir, and volunteered whenever needed. She was good with figures, had formerly been an accountant and she used this talent as the financial secretary for the finance committee for the new educational building, and also on the endowment committee. She was a talented lady who enjoyed spending her life giving to others. She will be missed by her family, her church family, and many friends.She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister.She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ervin Butler 2 nieces 2 nephews and many friends.Funeral services will be 1:00PM, Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Kerrville Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bryan Brown and Rev. Don Raschke officiating.
