Nancy Swayze

BEAUMONT Nancy Ione Swayze, 92, of Kerrville, and formerly of Buna, Texas, passed from this life on Thursday morning, May 13, 2010, at a health care facility in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Buna, Texas, on July 30, 1917, she was the daughter of Carl and Ethel Bates Richardson.

Mrs. Swayze was the last charter member of St. Pauls Methodist Church in Kerrville, Texas.
She was predeceased by her parents her husband, Douglas Alexander Swayze of Kerrville and by a sister, Faye Richardson Moncrief of Beaumont, Texas.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory are nieces and nephews, Barbara George of Orange, Texas, Lyndall Munson of Beaumont, Texas, Laird Moncrief of Fred, Texas, Hubert Moncrief of Spurger, Texas, and Rita Faye Read of Beaumont, Texas niece from her husbands family, Sandy Boyd of San Antonio and many greatnieces, nephews and friends.

There will be no visitation.

A graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville on Monday, May 17, 2010, at 10 a.m.

The family suggests that in lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations in her name be made to the charity of ones choice.

Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Kerrville Funeral Home.
