Kerrville, Texas Nancy Elizabeth Price Neal peacefully passed away on August 8, 2006 after a long struggle with respiratory illness. She enjoyed a full and rewarding life, and truly lived her belief of God first, others second and herself last.A Kerrville resident since 1985, Nancy was honored as a Life Member of the Presbyterian Women and was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Kerrville Performing Arts Society and was honored as a Presidents Associate of Schreiner University. Nancy enjoyed finances and investments and served on the finance committee of several area organizations. She gave and received the gift of friendship to many in Kerrville and around the country.Nancy was born on July 8, 1922 in Colorado City, TX, the daughter of Oscar Byron and Lela Whipkey Price. She was valedictorian of her high school class and attended the University of Texas at Austin. She and Frank Earl Neal were married on July 2, 1944, lived in Houston, New Orleans and San Francisco, and traveled the world before retiring to Kerrville. Earl Neal preceded her in death on December 3, 1988.Nancy is survived by two sons and their wives, Byron and Alexandra Neal of Portland, ME, and Mark and Lisa Neal of Jacksonville, FL four grandchildren, Susan Neal Gregg and her husband Steven Gregg of Denver, Co, Gregory Byron Neal of Jacksonville, FL, Travis Boyd Neal and Jennifer Elizabeth Neal of Jacksonville, FL stepgrandson, Jake Avis of Denver, CO brother, Robert B. Price and wife Becca of San Antonio, TX brotherinlaw, Jack Womack of Midland, TX two nephews, Kyle Womack and wife Brenda of Midland, TX, and Douglas Price of Artesia, NM two nieces, Pamela Pratt Walker and husband George of Colorado City, TX, and Mary Alice Price McKean and husband Randy of Round Rock, TX as well as several greatneices and nephews along with a host of many loving friends, neighbors, and church family.Nancy will be remembered as a loving wife and mother, caregiver, and friend.Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 800 Jefferson Street, Kerrville, TX 78028 or to the Frank Earl Neal Scholarship at Schreiner University, 2100 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, TX.Open ation will be Thursday, August 10, 2006, with Family ation from 5 7 PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2006 at 11 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 800 Jefferson Street, Kerrville, TX with the Rev. Rob Lohmeyer, officiating. Private Interment will be held at Garden of Memories Cemetery.Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Kerrville Funeral Home.
