Nancy Janette Mishou went to her heavenly home on February 13, 2017, joining her late husband, Edward C. Mishou. Nancy's firm belief in God supported her and family throughout her battle with cancer. We celebrate that she is at peace with our loving Creator.
Nancy was born to Frank Kohl and Winnie Piearce Kohl in Dallas, Texas, on July 7, 1946. She grew up with three siblings that survive her: Anita Smith, Marvin Kohl and Larry Kohl. Nancy also leaves behind her two adoring daughters, Janette Pierce and Amber Hukill. In addition, she is survived by three grandsons, Jordan Sarver, Xander O'Neil, and Zack Hukill.
Nancy had a love for teaching; from Bible studies to English as a Second Language, she was diverse in her ability to touch others. She had a deep faith, a zest for life, and a sense of adventure. She was most recently involved with the Libertarian party in Brownsville, Texas, where she ran for State Representative District 38.
A memorial service will be held on February 24, 2017 in the Guadalupe Room at YO Ranch Hotel in Kerrville, Texas. Short service will be at 1:00 pm, with lunch provided from 12:00-2:00 pm.
