Nancy Glenn Martin went to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday,February 25, 2021, having resided in Fredericksburg, Texas.

“Nana” to her grandchildren, she was born in Danville, Virginia on March 1, 1928 to Frank and Rozelia Glenn. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended Virginia Polytechnical Institute in Fashion Illustration, Richmond, Virginia. Nancy married the love of her life, Daniel E. Martin, in 1948. She taught elementary school in Ashland,Virginia, studied Speech Therapy at the University of Virginia and was a prolific artist. She became Art Director for Dillards Department Store, painted lively portraits in oils, as well as landscapes and luminous Native American scenes, her favorite genre.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Estes Martin and her son, Daniel Edward Martin. Survived by three children, daughter, Suzanne McComack and her husband, Thomas Mac McComack of Fredericksburg, Texas; daughter, Jane Strobl and her husband, David Strobl of Forestburg, Texas; and daughter, Laura Martin of Pottsboro, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren that include Richmond Goolsby, Adrienne Morrow, Brandon Strobl, April Haas, Steven Strobl, Martha Simone, Jeffrey Davidson, Danielle Sorensen, their spouses, and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3PM at Kerrville Funeral Home on June,21,2021. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hill Country Memorial Hospice at www.hillcountrymemorial.org/foundation/foundation-for-hcm/givenow, whose kindness made the last days of her life comfortable and safe.
