Kerrville Nadine Baldridge, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2011 at a local hospital.
Born in Anaconda, Montana on March 31, 1916, she was the daughter of Helge and Laura Green Hansen. Helge moved the family from Montana to Virginia, Minnesota, where he was a partner manager in one of Mr. J.C. Pennys Golden Rule stores. Nadine remembered Mr. Penny and his wife visiting their home often.
Nadine loved Minnesota. She spent most of her time outdoors, enjoying winter sports like skiing and skating, but was always happy when summer came and the family would leave the city of Virginia to stay at their cabin on Sand Lake.
After graduating from high school, class of 1934, she began to study and train as a nurse at a teaching hospital. However, in her last year of training she met the love of her life, George Brinkman, and joyfully decided to get her MRS instead of a nurses cap. Their marriage was blessed by three children, Barton, Barbara, and Bruce.
Sadly, Nadine was preceded in death by George 1961, Barbara 1963, age 15, Bart 2010, husband, Ronald Baldridge and brotherinlaw, Clyde Hester.
She is survived by her sister, Lois Hester son, Bruce and wife Peggy Brinkman, daughterinlaw, Cheri Brinkman grandson, Brandon and wife Jennifer and their three children, Makayla, Alexa and Colt nephew, Larry and wife Meredith Hester. Also there are two quotdaughters in her heart, quot Sharon Hall and Jeanette Watson.
While a resident of Kerrville, Nadine was a member of the Lioness Club, and a volunteer for Heart of the Hills of Hospice. She was a member of Grace Bible Church and had worked in the toddler nursery for many years.
The family of Nadine would like to express their appreciation to her many phone friends, neighbors, and friends at Kerrville Oaks Apartments, and the sweet young ladies at Conlees College of Cosmetology. Each of you were a blessing to her and made her last years enjoyable.
