Minnie Gonzales

KERRVILE Minnie G. Gonzales, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on Monday, October 6, 2014 at a local care center. Minnie was born to Joe R. Garcia and Genevieve G. Garcia on November 2, 1921 in Junction, Texas.

Minnie received most of her education in San Antonio. She enjoyed many hobbies including quilting, embroidery work and gardening. She married Salvador Gonzales on May 10, 1938. After ranching on the Vivians Ranch for many years, they moved to California where they lived for 27 years, retired and then decided to move back to Texas. After 62 year of marriage, Minnie lost her husband in January of 2000 and she continued to live in Junction and later moved to Kerrville.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband and an only son, Sal Jr. her parents three brothers, Rubin, Roy, and Joe Garcia and one sister, Alice Barron.

She is survived by one sister, Josephine Dora Gonzales three grandchildren, Shelley Landis, Marcia Gonsales and Sal Gonsales, III nine great grand children a sister in law, Julie Garcia friend, Betty Sacher along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Junction City Cemetery, Junction, TX.
