Milton H. Pappy Montgomery, Jr., age 84, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at a local nursing center. He was born in Houston on October 28, 1917 to Milton H. Montgomery, Sr. and Sybil A. Brown Montgomery. Milton owned and operated Bissonnet Paint Company in Houston for 35 years. During his years in Houston, he was a very active member of First Baptist Church. In 1964, he bought land on the Guadalupe River in Ingram and started building his dream home. In 1983 he retired and moved to his beloved home on the river. Milton was a very strong Christian and enjoyed being surrounded by his family. He loved having his grandchildren and greeatgrandchildren around him. After moving to Ingram, Milton became a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was active as long as his health allowed. Milton is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Montgomery of Ingram, three daughters, Colette Tolbert and husband Carl, of Humble, Texas, Kendra Willert and husband Mike of Ingram, and Ladelle Timme and husband Paul of Tyler, Texas seven grandchildren 19 greatgrandchildren one greatgreatgrandchild. He is also survived by a special feiend and caregiver, Diana Gonzales of Kerrville, Texas.
