Mildred Billy Benton, 86, of Kerrville, Texas passed away peacefully on October 31, 2005 at a local care facility.Mrs. Benton was born May 25, 1919 in Charlotte, North Carolina to William and Mary Thomas. She graduated from Queens College in Charlotte, and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education in Richmond, Virginia. She married Francis B. Benton on January 20, 1944 in Charlotte. Her loving support of her husband, family, and the love she shared with friends as she followed her husband, as Pastor of many church congregations, from Dyersberg, TN, to Barium Springs, NC, to Decatur, GA, to Abilene, TX, to Dallas, TX, to retirement in Kerrville, will long be remembered by the many lives she touched. She was a member of the Women of the Church, First Presbyterian Church of Ingram, and the Hill Country Art Guild. Her life was love, and she will be missed dearly by all who knew her.She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis B. Benton, who passed away on December 10, 1997 son, Francis B. Benton, Jr., and a sister.She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth B. Lanz, and husband Sasha of Richardson, TX and Margaret B. Buchanan of Debuke, IA loving daughterinlaw, Eileen Benton of Boerne and six grandchildren, Bridget Benton, Amanda Lanz, Thomas Buchanan, Christi Buchanan, Matthew Buchanan, and Laura Lanz.Memorial services will be 12:00PM, Saturday, November 5, 2005 at the First Presbyterian Church in Ingram with Rev. Ray Tear and Margaret Buchanan officiating. Private Family interment will be at Garden of Memories. No visitation is scheduled.Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Ingram, or to Mo Ranch.
