Mayme Praytor

Kerrville Mayme H. Praytor, age 95, born October 16, 1912, died on April 24, 2008 in a local care facility.Mayme was the daughter of William and Sarah Frances Clifton Holcomb and born in Seymour, Texas. Mayme graduated from Hardin Simmons University and taught school in Wichita Falls, Antelope, Markley and Kerrville, Texas. She taught music and Texas history.Mayme married Roy S. Praytor on September 8, 1947 in Monahans, Texas. Together they moved to Kerrville in the fifties and opened Praytor Jewelry store and operated the store until August of 1970. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, where she was also the organist.She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Roy Praytor, her parents, William and Sarah Holcomb, one brother, T.E. Holcomb and a sisterinlaw, Mary Holcomb of San Angelo, Texas.She is survived by a sisterinlaw, Marie Synider of Wellington, Texas, a niece, Pauline Rhea and her husband Jim of Lovington, New Mexico, a cousin, Dorothy and Don Duncan of Wichita Falls, Texas.
