FREDERICKSBURG Maureen Renie Cooper, 71, of Kerrville, Texas went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2014. Maureen was born in Phoenix, Arizona on January 11, 1943 to Clarence Kneese and Dora Lee Ersch.

While still a young child, Renies family moved to Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and she grew up there throughout most of her childhood. On May 12, 1979, Renie married the love of her life, Bill Cooper, in Tyler, Texas at the beautiful Tyler Rose Garden.

She was a dedicated volunteer to her community and proudly served our community by being of service to PRMC AuxiliaryPeterson Hospice, Yellow Rose Ambucs, Christian Womens Reconnect, and Kerrville Women Connection. Renie was also a proud supporter of the Symphony of the Hills and a KPAS Board Member. An avid and loyal Dallas Cowboys fan, she was always on their side, win or lose.
Renie loved to make people smile where ever she went. She never met a stranger NEVER. She is described as being loving, giving, and caring, and she will be missed greatly by all those who knew and loved her.

Those who preceded her in death are her parents, grandparents, and a son.

Those left to honor and cherish Renies memory are her loving husband of 34 years, Bill sister, Lee Ann Walling daughters, Dana Edson and husband Chad, Carla Cooper, and Teresa Stegall and husband Mark grandson, Robert granddaughters, Andrea and husband Brandon, Michelle, and Mackenzie 3 greatgrandchildren many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, along with a host of friends and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to the PRMC Auxiliary, 551 Hill Country Dr., Kerrville, Texas 78028 or Peterson Hospice, 1121 Broadway Suite 100, Kerrville, Texas 78028.
