Mary Watkins

Kerrville Mary Helen Dossett Watkins, 85, of Kerrville passed away at a local hospital on Friday morning, December 14, 2007.Born in Martin Springs, TX on August 3, 1922, she was the daughter of Robert and Etta Sikes Dossett. She had lived in Kerrville for the past 2 years.She was a telephone operator for many years as well as being a fulltime mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great greatgrandmother. She was also known as Mom, Gram and Nana to the many whom she raised as her own.Family members include 2 sons, Richard Watkins of Gun Barrel City, TX and Robert Watkins and his wife, Judy of Kemp, TX 2 daughters, Faye Bales of Gun Barrel City, TX and Jackie Baker and her husband, Gene of Gun Barrel City, TX her grandson and his wife, Herbie and Diane Mackey of Kerrville, who cared for her lovingly and selflessly during her last years 13 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren 7 great great grandchildren, and the numerous children she called her own. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Raymond Cecil Watkins in 1998, by a daughter, Janice Gallegos in 2005 and by her parents.There will be no visitation.Graveside services will be held in the family lot in Hopewell Cemetery, Winnsboro, TX on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 2:00 PMThe family invites you to leave a message or memory at www.kerrvillefuneralhome.com by selecting Obituaries.
