Mary Rowell

Ingram Mary L. Rowell, 84, passed from this life at her residence on Wednesday morning, March 5, 2008.Born in Birmingham, AL on May 30, 1923, she was the daughter of Edward G and Sue Calloway Latham. She was a graduate of Baylor University, Class of 1947. After graduation, she went to Conway, AR and taught drama and speech at an all girls school. After that, she moved to NYC and worked for Columbia University under Dwight D. Eisenhower. She also performed on daytime and evening radio shows.She had a great love of music, theater and dance.Mrs. Rowell married Douglas R. Rowell on August 25, 1956.Family members include her husband a sister, Carmen Callen of Lincoln, CA a brother, Edward Latham of Santa Rosa Beach, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.There is no visitation.A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Kerrville Funeral Home in the River View Chapel on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2:00pm with Pastor Joseph Fegenbush of Faith Christian Church officiating.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests that monetary donations be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 291048, San Antonio, TX 78229.
