Mary Pearson

KERRVILLE Mary L. Pearson, 86, of Kerrville, Texas passed from this life on December 12, 2013. Mary was born May 22, 1927 in Groesbeck, Texas to Alton Parker and Ruby Stevenson Basham.

She grew up in Groesbeck, Texas and married William Donald Pearson in San Antonio, Texas on December 7, 1945. Mary worked for the government starting at Fort Sam Houston Headquarters 4th Army in the 1960s. She moved with her family to Dallas in 1971 where she worked with the Consumer Product Safety Department and then retired from the Food and Drug Administration as a Division Chief. After retirement, she and her husband, Bill, moved to Kerrville where she enjoyed the Hill Country until her passing. Mary was officially known as Saint Mary by her friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband, William D. Pearson.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her five children, Ron Pearson and wife JoAnn of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Linda Sparks and husband Wayne of Houston, Texas, David Pearson and wife Linda of Mason, Ohio, Robert Pearson and wife Naomi of Mason, Ohio, Steve Pearson and wife Donya of Amarillo, Texas sixteen grandchildren eleven greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held 10 AM, Tuesday, December 17, 2013 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home Chaplain Sam Ligon officiating. Interment will be held at 10 AM, Friday, January 3, 2014 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
