Mary Mason

KERRVILLE- Mary Alice Stubblefield Mason was born in rural Berry County Missouri, May 19, 1918 near the small town of Caseville. She departed this life March 21, 2016.

Mary had been a resident of Kerrville since 1972 when she and her husband moved here from Arizona.

She attended Drury College in Springfield, Missouri, and was a graduate of Draughon's Business University in Springfield.

On April 22, 1945 she married Richard H. Mason of Amsterdam, New York and this marriage continued until Richard passed away on May 7, 1987. There were no children born to this union, but they enjoyed 42 wonderful years together.

Mary was in the business world most of her adult life; however, while in Kerrville she took the time on week-ends to visit Hilltop Nursing Home and play the piano for the residents.

She leaves no relatives, only neighbors and friends in Kerrville and in locations throughout the United Sates where she has lived during her lifetime.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday March 24, 2015 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy Kerrville, TX 78028 with Rev. Sam Ligon officiating.

Interment will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday March 29, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.
