Mary Jimenez

KERRVILLE - Mary D. Jimenez, 88, of Kerrville, TX, passed from this life to be with her beloved Jesus Christ on November 10, 2015 at her residence in Kerrville, TX. She was born to Jose and Juanita (Fernandez) Delarosa on July 22, 1927 in Rocksprings, TX.

Mary grew up in Rocksprings and Kerrville, marrying the love of her life, Torivio M. Jimenez. Our grandmother had a strong faith that helped her through many obstacles within her lifetime. Those challenges included raising her five grandchildren. She was our foundation and our heart and soul, and she will be dearly missed.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Torivio M. Jimenez; sister, Rosa De La Rosa; daughter, Mirella Jimenez; and granddaughter, Valerie Jimenez.

She is survived by her son, Victor Jimenez; granddaughter, Patricia Jimenez; grandsons, Philip Jimenez, Jose Vela, Victor Jimenez, and Charlie Vela with children Hunter Vela and Arianna Jimenez, along with many friends and neighbors who will miss her smile and great company.

A time of reflection and visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Sunday, November 15, 2015 in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX 78028. Funeral Services will begin at 10 AM, Monday at Kerrville Funeral Home with Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Kerrville, Texas

Pallbearers will include her great-grandchildren, Hunter Vela, T. Logan Vela, Austin Vela, Patrick Jimenez, Noah Jimenez, and Richard Jimenez.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jo Goss for sharing her compassionate and caring heart in our grandmothers last months.
