Mary Dunkerley

Kerrville Mary Burks Dunkerley, 77, of Kerrville, passed from this life at a local hospital on Wednesday, February 6, 2008.Born in San Antonio on May 29, 1931, she was the daughter of James Baylor and Virginia Curtis Bell. She had lived in Kerrville, moving here from the Rockport, TX area where she had lived many years.Mrs. Dunkerley was an interior decorator and was partners in the Sundial Gift shop in Rockport for 27 years. She was a member and very active in the Junior League in Corpus Christi.She loved spending time with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed painting, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.Family members include her husband, Allen K. Dunkerley, Jr. of Kerrville a son, Bill Albert and his wife, Kathy of Woodsboro, TX 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Albert of San Antonio, Carrie Hubbard of Woodsboro, and Houston Albert of Fort Irwin, CA 2 great grandchildren, Hailey and Hannah Hubbard of Woodsboro a sister, Sally Summers and her husband, Rod of Rockport and a brother, Jimmy Bell of Dallas and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her first husband, Bill Albert in 1996, and a son, James Albert in 1991. There is no visitation.Services will be held in the family lot in Fulton Cemetery, Fulton, TX on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at 10:30AM.In lieu of floral arrangements, the family suggests that monetary donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
