Martha Holfsted

KERRVILLE Martha Janice Holfsted, 54, of Kerrville, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at a local hospital. Martha was born on March 13, 1958 in Bartlesville, OK, to Alvin Ray and Sarah Jane Donovan Brown. She was raised in El Paso, TX.

In June of 1976, Martha married Steven Brown and they were blessed with 1 son. Later, in December of 1977, she married Hugh W. Walton in which they were blessed with 3 sons. In July of 1995, Martha married, Marc A. Holfsted, and they were blessed with 1 daughter and 1 son.

Martha has been a resident of Kerrville since January of 2004. She was self employed, where she was involved with Senior Services for over 10 years. She was a great wife, a great mother and grandmother and loved helping everyone she could. She was a faithful member of the 1000 Hills Cowboy Church of Kerrville, TX.

Preceding her in death are her mother, Sarah Jane Brown and her grandmother, Mildred Adams.

Those left to honor and cherish her memories are her children, Patrick G. Brown Lizette of El Paso, TX, Michael R. Walton Susan Walton of Houston, TX, Cliffton D. Walton Stephaine of Harrisonville, MO, Jerrod D. Walton Tina of Lees Summit, MO, Amy E. Holfsted of Kerrville, TX, and Marc A. Holfsted of Kerrville, TX 9 grandchildren her brother, Thomas Brown of El Paso, TX sister, Donna Baber of Stuttgart, AK, along with a host of many loving friends and neighbors whose lives she touched in so many different ways.

A Celebration of Marthas life will be held at 6 PM, Friday, May 18, 2012 at the 1000 Hills Cowboy Church, Kerrville, TX
