Funeral services and Mass for Martha "Tomasa" Sanchez Arredondo, 94, a lifelong resident of Kerrville, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Norte Dame Catholic Church. Internment will follow immediately after Mass at the Garden of Memories cemetery, 3250 Fredericksburg Road, Kerrville, Texas.

On May 24, 2017, 6:00 pm the family will welcome family and friends for a Rosary Service at the Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Hwy, Kerrville, Texas.

"Tomasa" passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2017 at the Peterson Regional Medical Hospital. Martha "Tomasa" Arredondo was born on September 21, 1922 in Kerrville, Texas, to Jesus Sanchez and Guadalupe Salinas. She was united in marriage to Tomas Sanchez Arredondo on January 9, 1943, in Kerrville, Texas they were married for 69 years until his death. Tomasa was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Sanchez and Guadalupe Salinas; her partner and loving husband, Tomas Sanchez Arredondo daughter, Sylvia Reyna Gonzales; sister, Ruby Gutierrez; brother, Roman Sanchez and great grandson Richard Gonzales.

Tomasa was a woman of unyielding loyalty and friend to both her husband and family of eight children. She was a mother and homemaker who dedicated her life to family, marriage and work. She was a nurse's aide at the Kerrville State Hospital for 34 years. A woman whose devotion was without question and regrets. Daughter Dolores Cendejas lovingly cared for "Tomasa" for the last three years of her life with the assistance of Mary Reyes, Nancy Galvanek and Debbie Copeland.

Tomasa's legacy will live far beyond her years of life as she is survived by 7 of her 8 children, Mary Arredondo Reyes and husband Henry of Kerrville; Nancy Galvanek of Canyon Lake; Carlos "Tommy" Arredondo of Kerrville; Ralph Arredondo and wife Linda of Kerrville; Joseph Arredondo and wife Viola of Boerne; Dolores Cendejas and husband Jose of Ensenada, Mexico and Debbie Copeland and husband Dathan of Austin. Tomasa is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren as well as two sisters, Julia Castro of Comfort and Maria Martinez of San Antonio.

The family extends a personal invitation to all for a gathering and reception to celebrate Tomasa's life immediately following the Gravesite Memorial Service on May 25, 2017, at the Norte Dame Social Center.
