Marjorie Wykert Cauley Stacy, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, September 09, 2008.nbspShe did not suffer, which was a blessing, and she was ready to go, maintaining her positive attitude until the very end.nbspShe will be remembered for her beautiful smile and generous spirit. nbspMarjorie Doris was born in Sumner, Iowa on March 2nd, 1915, to Henry Wykert and Mary Ingram.nbspShe grew up in Donna in the TexasRio GrandeValley and in San Antonio.nbspAfter her high school graduation, she and her mother Mary moved to Corpus Christi, and she worked at Central Power amp Light where she met Edwin Roy Son Cauley.nbspThey were married in April 1937.nbspTheir marriage was blessed with two sons, Edwin Paul and Keith Allen Cauley.nbspnbspMarjorie was a civil service employee for 27 years, retiring as Administrator of Public Works for the Naval Auxiliary Air Station NAAS in Kingsville, Texas.nbspAfter traveling the country for several years, she and her husband retired to Kerrville, Texas.nbspShe volunteered at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital and was asked to take on the role of Director of Volunteers for the hospital in her seventies.nbspAfter 56 years of marriage, Son died in 1993.nbspShe found love again at age 80 and married Virgil Stacy.nbspThey lived happily together for 8 years at Take It Easy Park in Kerrville until Stacyrsquos death, and she often expressed how cherished she felt by this gentle man.nbspMarjorie was preceded in death by her loved husbands, Edwin Roy Cauley and Virgil Stacy, by two sisters, Hilda and Lela, two brothers, Hilton and Orville, and her parents.nbspShe is survived by her sons, Ed amp Mary Kaye Cauley of Cameron, and Keith amp Dee Cauley of Monticello, Utah, as well as four grandsons, Paul amp Donna Cauley of Coppell, Chris amp Kelly Cauley of Pasadena, Randy amp Danielle Cauley of Georgetown, and Brad amp Kathy Cauley of Manor.nbspShe had twelve beloved greatgrandchildren: Caroline, Julianne, Matthew, Tyler, Cameron, Mary Rose, Camila, Gabriel, Claire, Emily, Ethan, and Elise.nbspShe is also survived by her brotherinlaw, Jim and Pat Cauley of Baytown, sisterinlaw, Mavis Cauley of San Antonio, several nieces and nephews, and her stepchildren, Terry amp Kay Stacy of Corpus Christi and Felix amp Peggy Whipple of Kerrville.nbspHer life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Sunday, September 14, at 2:00 p.m. at FirstUnitedMethodistChurch in Cameron, Texas.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to FUMC Cameron or Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Kerrville.nbsp
