Fredericksburg Marion Frederick Livengood, 72, of Fredericksburg, passed from this life at his home on Friday, December 3, 2010.

Born in Kittanning, PA on March 28, 1938, he was the son of Emery and Evelyn Campbell Livengood, 1 of 15 children.

Mr. Livengood worked for LTV Steel for 30 years, as a rigger, boiler maker and welder and was based out of East Chicago, Indiana. He was always a hard worker. He also sold insurance for a time.

He was very active and supportive of his children, taking an interest in everything they got involved with.

He had a love of woodworking and with this, made miniature furniture for many family and friends.

A devout Christian, he enjoyed going on many mission works to Central and South America helping build churches and schools, a task he enjoyed for many years. He was a member of Impact Church in Kerrville and was involved in many ways, never looking for praise, but always giving it to his fellow man.

Mr. Livengood was a gentle, kind and special man that took care of his family. He loved to cook, making many meals for family, friends and whoever stopped by for a visit.

He is predeceased by his parents, his beloved granddaughter, Kirsten Lea Ely, and 9 of his brothers and sisters.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Regina quotJeanquot Fennell Livengood of Fredericksburg his children, Kenneth Ray Livengood of Hammond, Indiana, Amy Lynn Ely of Kerrville and Rande Scott Livengood of DeMotte, Indiana 11 grandchildren 3 sisters, Midge Williams of Phoenix, AZ, Wilda Goldinger of Justin, TX and Mary Evans of Kittanning, PA 3 brothers, George Livengood of Kittanning, PA, Cecil Livengood of Martinsburg, WV and Russell Livengood of Littleton, CO many nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a Celebration of his life at Impact Church, Goat Creek Road, Kerrville on January 6, 2011at 11:00AM.

The family suggests that donations in his name be made to Impact Church for Mission Work, the American Cancer Society or to the Ronald McDonald House, a cause near and dear to his heart.
