AUSTIN Marilyn Leland Morgan, 89, passed from this life on Sunday April 29th at an Austin hospital. She was born in Glover, VT on August 16, 1922 to Adelbert C. and Sadie Wilson Leland.

Marilyn graduated from Barton Academy in Barton, VT in 1940. She was employed at the Hartford Retreat in Hartford, CT and Pratt and Whitney during WWII. There she met Mark C. Morgan who was in the service and stationed in Hartford, CT. They were married on January 24, 1946 in Glover, VT and moved to Houston, TX.

Upon making Houston their home, Marilyn attended Josephine Hodge Beauty School. After their move to Kerrville, TX, Marilyn spent 40 years working as a beautician. She enjoyed knitting, and crocheting for newborns, family and friends.

Her family belonged to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and the Tent and Tow Camping Club.

She is preceded in death by her parents husband, Mark C. Morgan and brothers, Dr. George H. Leland and Donald A. Leland.

Survived by daughters, Dolly Douglas Woerner and Jackie M. Givens grandsons, Mark W. Sears, Reagan Lyndsay Givens
greatgrandchildren, Avery Sears, Aydan Hassell, Adalayde and Adler Givens sister, Muriel Sherburne of VT numerous nieces and nephews form Vermont, Idaho, and Florida. She will also be missed by many other family members, friends and neighbors.

A visitation will be held from 6 8 PM, Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Kerrville Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX with Pastor Joshua Sullivan officiating.
